My son has celiac disease and needs a gluten-free diet. Regarding staff, I can't say enough about Chef William. Our room was clean, the staff was friendly and courteous and the location on the south end of the strip was great for travelling with kids. We travelled as a family to the Luxor from July 6-10, 2015. This area sat vacant with a storage cage full. Our only disappointment at the Luxor was that the second time we went to the pool a large section of lawn was unavailable for use resulting in many people wandering around with nowhere to sit but on the concrete pool deck. He treated him like royalty! I can't say enough about what a good experience it was for my son. Not only did the buffet at the Luxor mark items that were gluten-free and have a dedicated bakery cooler for gluten-free desserts, but Chef William gave us a tour of the buffet, answered all our questions, gave us tips on eating out (like identifying things that I would have thought to be gluten free, like salad dressings, but likely aren't when you eat out), and really directed all of this to my son. Trying to find restaurants that have gluten-free menu items, particularly ones that will satisfy the limited palate of a 10-year old, can be a real struggle. We typically stay in places with kitchens so that I can cook.
